Defective New Balance Sneakers
I was initially impressed with the New Balance Corporate Mantra of utilizing U. S.
Labor and Materials whenever possible, as well as being environmentally and globally conscious. But this is the second time I have bought brand new sneakers from them and they have fallen apart in less than a years time. The sole (bottom) of the sneaker separates from the sneaker body (upper). The first time I glued them (I don't remember the model number) and got another 6 months out of them.
This time their Model Number 608 that I paid over $100.00 for, bought new in August 2017, and their already separating. Their not even a year old. And no, New Balance, I didn't buy a size too small and jam my feet into them. They fit fine when I bought them; in fact there was no "break in period".
But what really rang true with me was hearing a Viewer on Channel 11 and other Consumers experince at the hands of New Balance when they attempted to report and remedy the defect.
They were treated rudely and blamed by New Balance Staff for the obvious manufacturing defect. Thats enough for me New Balance; you lost a customer.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $150.
Preferred solution: Why don't you identify what the problem is? Its not an isolated incident!.
New Balance Pros: Comfort, Comfort and sizes.
New Balance Cons: Poor workmanship, That nb shoes fall apart.

I had the same problem. I have written to NB and await their response.
In the last 2 years I purchased 3 pairs of NB shoes. In 2-3 months the immitation leather begins to peel off.
In 3-4 months the rubber sole separates from the shoe. I contacted NB, sent them photos, and heard nothing.
A few people should get together and file a class action lawsuit against NB. I can only imagine how many tens of thousands of defective shoes this company has produced in China.
