New Balance 409 Shoe Quality and Value Deteriorating
Hate to say it, but New Balance quality has gone down the tubes.
Have bought their 409-style walking shoes -- a pair a year -- since 1999. Wear them two to three days a week. Never had a pair fall apart on me until 2015.
Every pair I have bought since 2015 has had seams on the front sides of the leather uppers on one of the two shoes of the pair start separating within the first three months of wear. Bad thread?
Won't be buying them again. No matter how comfortable they are or how well they support my feet, they simply no longer are a quality shoe and a good value. Welcome recommendations for a shoe equivalent to the OLD New Balance 409 in comfort, support, quality and price.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $100.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
